Bunbury is often named as the ‘City of Three Waters’ and is one of the state’s largest regional cities. The laid back, seaside port city oozes a cosmopolitan edgy atmosphere, with a massive event calendar, boutique shops, street art and funky cafes dominating the CBD. Situated on a peninsula, the calm waters of Koombana Bay and Leschenault Inlet contrast with the extensive waves of the Indian Ocean, to the west.
Squid and blue swimmer crabs are found in the waters around Busselton. Herring and whiting are found closer to Geographe Bay with silver bream, tailor, yellowfin, whiting, herring, flathead, mulloway, and salmon also local to the region’s waters. Jump on a fishing charter to have a go at pulling in a fish yourself, or simply enjoy a seafood meal at one of the region’s waterside restaurants.
